Superman was back protecting the streets of Mayfield Heights tonight! Alan had a blast Trick-or-Treating with Cassidy and Xavier!

Things Alan Says
Sometimes Alan accidentally combines “Ohio State” and “United States of America” and it comes out of his mouth as the “Ohio States of America.”
I like his Ohio-centric view of the country!
OSU Game (on TV)
Last night Alan made me a very proud dad when he sat down next to me and watched [part of] an OSU game for the first time! It was a momentous night for Alan and I, as it was the first time Alan wanted to watch a sporting event on TV with me.
Alan told me that #1 on OSU — Braxton Miller — was our best player because he was wearing #1. I did not disagree!
#1 Ohio State beat Penn State 38-10 in the first ever “blackout” at the Shoe.
Alan’s Busy Saturdays
In addition to attending Chinese language and Martial Arts classes (pictured above) on Saturdays at the Cleveland Public Library, Alan is also now taking piano lessons on Saturday mornings at Case Western with a couple other students. So far he’s off to a great start. He’s learning all the notes and has been practicing at home. On October 10th he was chosen by the teacher to demonstrate how to play the notes to the other students!
Tribe Game No. 6 of 2015
Alan wrapped up another fun baseball season today at Progressive Field! The Indians beat the Red Sox and improved to 4-2 with Alan in attendance this season. Alan drove his favorite car (video) in the Kids Clubhouse and led the line again during the postgame run around the bases (video). This was Alan’s 10th career run!
Thanks to the Indians, Alan had a summer to remember. He looked forward to Sundays for the chance to see the Tribe and regretted when the team had a Sunday road game. He told me several times, “the Indians need me,” since he was a Tribe Town MVP this year.
Hopefully the winter flies by so Alan can get back out on the field in 2016!
Baseball Practice
For the past few months, Alan has been taking batting practice (video) in the bocce ball pit at Oakville Park.
We consider hitting the back wall of the pit a home run. Alan’s homeruns-to-swings ratio is getting pretty good!
